Chicken Salad Chick: Grand Opening

Capturing Greeley’s Charm for Chicken Salad Chick

I was thrilled when Chicken Salad Chick approached me with a unique project ahead of their grand opening in Greeley. My initial assignment was to photograph Greeley's historic buildings, capturing the character and charm of the city to create stunning prints for display in their new restaurant. These photos were carefully composed to not only enhance the restaurant’s interior but also to celebrate the rich heritage of the community they were becoming a part of.

The reception to these images was overwhelmingly positive, and soon after, I was invited back to photograph their grand opening celebration. For this event, my goal was to go beyond traditional event photography—I wanted to tell the story of Chicken Salad Chick’s launch in Greeley and provide them with a robust collection of photos that they could use for social media marketing and beyond.

The Day Of

During the grand opening, I focused on capturing the energy and excitement of the day. From candid moments of Jessica and David Zumbrun, the owners, engaging warmly with customers, to dynamic shots of the crowd enjoying the event, every photo was taken to reflect the authentic connection Chicken Salad Chick fosters with its community. I also captured the beautifully designed interior and exterior of the restaurant, as well as detailed shots that highlighted their attention to detail—everything from the menu boards to the carefully curated décor.

My aim was to provide Chicken Salad Chick with a gallery of images that not only documented the event but could also be used to showcase their brand on social media. Each photo was tailored to highlight their story, values, and connection to the Greeley community. These images were designed to resonate with their audience, encouraging customers to visit, engage, and feel a part of something special.
